Baby Skincare - Natural, ethical and effective

There is no doubt that there are a vast array of choices for new parents these days with regard to their children's health.  For many years people moved away from natural things.  Powdered milk took the place of breast milk, but, as we intuitively have always known, it has now been proven that human milk is best for babies.  Babies who are fed naturally develop stronger immune systems and a more normal bacterial fauna in their digestive system which in turn protects against many different problems.  There is also a strong area of research that shows, that because of the intimate and close bond that a baby feels with it's mother while breast feeding, that these babies are more likely to be content and emotionally nurtured.
While there are many real medical and life reasons why some mothers cannot breast feed, instinct backed by science now tells us that whenever possible, if you want the best for your children then natural is the way to go.

The same applies to what we put on our babies skin after-all  the skin is the largest organ in the body and absorbs much more than most of us think.  The market is filled with products such as petroleum jelly ( a byproduct of the petrochemical industry) and a host of other chemicals that are absorbed through your babies skin into the body.  Just like other baby products these skincare creams and ointments are packaged and sold as the latest and best thing, but when you listen to your inner voice, your instinct, does it not tell you that using natural simple oils and balms should be better?.  Does Jojoba Oil, Sunflower Oil, Beeswax and other natural products not sound more logical option?.  The simple answer is yes.  Your baby deserves to be healthy and happy, that is why what you put on our little ones skin  is important.   So next time you want an a skincare product for you baby, look for  100% natural with no mineral oils or chemicals.  It may be no surprise but high quality baby skincare has been used by our ancestors long before the invention of creams, lotions made from petrochemicals and the modern treatments.   So if you are looking for a body oil, nappy balm or bath oil, think natural.
